Local Walks
Sunday 19th March - only
Starting 2:00pm from St Edwards Church, Kempley GL18 2BP (W3W connector.cried.hikes - https://w3w.co/connector.cried.hikes)
Join us for an easy family walk of about 2miles through the Golden Triangle’s ‘working landscape’, led by a forestry-trained environmentalist. This year’s theme will feature the Severn Treescapes scheme and our crucial part at the heart of the nature network stretching from the Wye to the Wyre.
Those on the simple hour-long walk may return unguided to the Village Hall for our usual wonderful teas. On the longer ninety-minute walk our guide will review the work of Forestry England in the Centenary Glade and their ambitious plans with the Wildlife Trusts of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire to create the Severn Treescapes wildlife corridor.
All guided walks are limited to a maximum of 45 people on a first come first served basis.
Walking Maps of the Daffodil Way and walks in Queenswood will be available for sale from the village hall and St Mary's Church. For more information please see here
Walkers should be confident that they can walk the distance chosen.
Stout footwear/good walking shoes/boots should be worn as some surfaces will be slippery and some surfaces may also be muddy. Waterproof clothing is also advisable.
DOGS are welcome on the walks but MUST be kept on LEADS
